On the way to Bossier City, Louisiana for a show, Trace Adkins' tour bus was involved in a crash that left two people dead. The crash was on February 13. Adkins wasn't in the bus because he was already in Bossier City. But the five crew members that were on the bus suffered minor injuries. The crash was caused by a truck going across the yellow lines into the other lane. Where they hit the tour bus head on. The two people that were in the truck were killed. "This is a real tragedy. Two people have been killed and I don't even know their names. So out of respect for their families, I prefer not to comment too much at this time," Adkins said.
Trace went ahead and played the show with Martina McBride, but he canceled the next show in Pensacola, Florida.
